100th Post!! RAK in Progress*closed**edited with winner*

Do you ever get in one of those moods? You know the kind. Where you feel your creative mojo has left the building? Permanently. Well, that how I was feeling as I was playing with this month's amazing July kit, which is still available here. Hint hint. Don't get me wrong. I adore this kit. It has such a summer feel to it. The colors are so perfect for scrapping my young brood. Plus, it features October Afternoon's Cherry Hill which I was dieing to get my hands on since Winter CHA when it was released. I finished up 4 layouts with the kit. I still had more to do. The design team's theme this month was "My Story". I just wasn't in the mood to delve deep into my soul right now. It MAY have something to do with dealing with my DH being away for 8 months and caring for our 5 younguns.

I just wanted to scrap AND get back in my scrappy groove. So, I threw conventions out the window and decided to go a different route with this My Story theme. I decided to alter this acrylic page. It was left over from my December Daily album and I thought it would make a perfect wall hanging hung on it's side. I used pieces from both June and July's mosh posh kits. Also, some add-ons and a bit of my own stash. I wanted to document what makes me happy, in the scrapbooking world these days... Sassafras, chipboard, brads, popdots, stickpins, felt/textures, letter stickers, ribbon, the number 5, buttons, fussy cutting, more Sass, and Sass borders.

You know what? By not following the rules. My mojo is back. I'm back to scrapping into the wee hours of the morning. And I'm happy as a clam. What do YOU do to break out of your creative rut? Leave me a comment and I'll pick a name to receive a rak from me in appreciation of our blog's 100th post! You have until Saturday morning at 9 am et.

Scrapbook Idea: Home Decor!

Scrapbook supplies can create much more than layouts and cards! Your supplies can create beautiful home decor items.

I found this frame at an antique store for $2.00 and I knew that it had a bright future. I just used my scraps from the March Mosh Posh kit: Scraps of the Lily Bee paper, the Pink Paislee rub-ons and buttons from the Making Memories March add-on.

Since I already have a tree theme in that corner of my living room, I knew exactly what I wanted to make. Sorry that the colors are off, it was laaaaaate when I took the picture. :)

Have you made items other than layouts and cards with scrapbooking projects? What have you created?

Check back tomorrow for our APRIL THEME CONTEST!!! I have an awesome prize for our winner this month!

See you tomorrow!!! :)

Blog Party!!! Final Day! Let's Scraplift!

Do you scraplift? I find so much inspiration online - blogs, message boards and online galleries. There is just so much out there!

As soon as I saw Michelle's layout, Our Tree, I just knew that I wanted to scraplift it. I love the way that she used the blocks of paper on her layout and framed them in with the red patterned paper. I also loved the circle embellishment that she used. I love everything about it.

This is my scraplift. The colors are really off because I had to use my indoor lighting since it has been raining all day, but you get the idea. I cut out a frame from patterned paper and created blocks of patterned paper inside. Thanks so much for the inspiration, Michelle!!

Have you seen any amazing layouts lately that you want to scraplift? Leave us some links so that we can be inspired too!

You have all day tomorrow to get caught up with our Blog Party and I will be announcing the winner on Monday! I am still getting caught up with leaving comments on blogs and checking out layouts, but I am working on it! :) Thank you SO much for a fun week!

I Told You I Was Giddy

Several posts ago, I mentioned that I had this wee problem with Basic Grey's patterned papers. Well, that's a good thing because October's Mosh Posh kit(now available) was chock full of it. In addition to the projects that I posted in the gallery I made quite a few other things with the super amazing Ambrosia line. Thought I would share some other ideas for using YOUR Ambrosia papers.

This first page practically made itself. The Ambrosia papers just scream look at me. Those diecut papers that you know we've all bought and hoarded are just perfect to display these patterns. All you need is a pencil and a good pair of tiny scissors. Just add a few pieces of the BG paper and some embellies. Voila.

I also made this miniBook using half of a 7Gypsies accordion album (from an older mosh posh kit) and some ClearScraps acrylics (you know the one's Ali E. is using). I had too much fun putting it together. Can you tell this is my favorite season? The BG Ambrosia papers are PERFECT for your pumpkin patch papers. Take a look.

Hope you enjoyed a peek at a couple of my ideas for the lovely fall season using some of the new BG papers. Until next time.

Falling in Love All Over Again

Happy Sunday Everyone! It's Jenny here with something for you to do. I know you are just like me and are waiting with baited breath for all the new goodies from CHA to start arriving on your doorstep. While we wait oh so patiently, I want you to do me a favor. I want you to look at something in your stash and do like i did. Fall in love all over again.

I'm really almost giddy waiting for the new Basic Grey papers to get here. I have been a BG junkie for years now. As I stalked the USPS truck, I pulled out my Cropper Hopper filled to the brim with some of the older stuff. I went way back to the Lollipop Shoppe line for this layout. These colors are so dang yummy. And boy did they work perfectly with my daughter's first day of preschool clothes and gear.

Can you do this for me? Whether it's a long-established manufacturer you're waiting for like me or a newer company or just a type of goodie (rub-ons, letter stickers, etc.). Look to your stash for something that reminds you of that much anticipated arrival. I'd love to see what YOU chose to fall in love with again. Please link me here.
