June Kit Challenge

Good morning!

Anyone need a kick in the ol' mojo?! I know personally, for me, creative ruts happen and it is so frustrating to deal with.

Once a month over at Mosh Posh one of the design team members will be issuing a challenge for you to partake in. The thread for challenges can be found here.

I find that challenges are the best source for inspiration, and allow me to try something new, and give me that extra 'push' I may need to finish a layout.

For June, the challenge is FLOWERS!!! I love buying flowers of all sorts but sometimes run out of creative ways to use them. Here are several ideas:

If you have boys there is NO reason why you can't use flowers! In this layout I did just that....I used flowers on a boy page



Try an unusual center for your flower! I used staples, just to add a 'boy' touch the page.

Use several different colored flowers and textures together...it adds a really fun look

Make some time to play this week....post your work to the Mosh Posh member's gallery so we can all see your creations!!!

End of the Month Challenge!!

Hello there!!! Kristen is on vacation, so you will have to wait just a little longer for the winner to be announced for the July RAK. I know, it's tough to be patient when the prize is so awesome!! In the meantime, I have a little challenge for you! I challenge you to create a layout all about a special Father in your life. Have you seen the Mosh Posh Gallery? Our theme for this month was all about Fathers, which our new DT members ROCKED OUT! Just for an example, and because I like to embarrass my husband on the Internet, here's my layout about my husband:

Here is what you need to know:

- Create as many layouts as you want, but the theme has to be about a Father.

- The layout must include the yummy products from your June Mosh Posh kit. (You can use other products, such as alphas or ink/paint, but we want to see that June kit!)

- Link your layout here in the comments section before July 1, 2008.

- I will choose one winner who will win the super cute Making Memories pink chipboard ledger alphas which will be the perfect addition to your July kit!

June Webisode!

Hey everyone! Welcome to the new Mosh Posh blog! Our first post is the June Webisode.

I'm altering a Frappuccino bottle to be filled with treats (or love notes) & used as a father's day gift, but you can apply this project to any occasion. We're putting the videos on YouTube so that they'll always be available to view. Please excuse the editing... I had my husband laboring over it last night to trim it down to the 10 minute time limit that YouTube has. :)

Well, enjoy the webisode and keep an eye on the blog! The Design Team members will be popping in to post challenges, sketches, and even some wonderful layouts from our member's gallery!

P.S. Run the bottle you plan to use through the dishwasher or a hot soapy wash in the sink first. The hot water will loosen the label so you can neatly peel it off. Also, the printing on the bottle (freshness date, etc.) can be removed with a good scrubber. ;)
