Blog Party - Inspiration!
Where do you find inspiration? Do you read scrapbooking or fashion magazines? Do you browse blogs and message board galleries?
I was cleaning up after breakfast this morning and looked up at my Countdown to Valentine's Day banner. I am so sad to have to take it down. I was looking at the twine that I strung it up with and thought, "Hmmm... I bet that twine would be so cute with the February kit." See? Inspiration.
And two online episodes of Desperate Housewives later, I was done! I love it when a layout comes together. Making your own embellishments is a great way to stretch the patterned paper that comes in a kit, plus it is a great way to use scraps that you already have. The patterned papers are always so pretty that I never want to throw away the scraps! :)
Where do you find your inspiration? Let's discuss!

Inspiration, hmmm. Usually from a class or a magazine. Sometimes it's the photo itself nd sometimes a phrase I've heard (the more artsy ones come from the phrase or story 'cause then I do not have a notion of how it ought to look)
Kay Estee... cleaning my room this weekend, I mean really cleaning - dresser closets. I took all those buttons you get off your clothes and threw them in my scrappy stash. You would not believe the buttons I found! So fun.. the different styles, shapes and colors.. now to tear myself away from the computer and actually do something with them. My inspiration comes from other's LO's, my pics or a scrap mag. Love the newest LO's from everyone! Such beautiful pages and journaling! :)
All over the place!!! I love surfin' the net (and I get so side tracked easily LOL) and I find some awesome inspiration....other layouts, website designs, posters, photos...you name it. I also love checking out magazines...not just scrap ones, but all kinds...looking at their design, layout and ads. Inspiration is aplenty...now just to find the time to create!
I used to devour the scrap mags, check out every paper crafting book from the library, and buy some at 1/2 Price Book stores. Now, I read the scrap blogs & view galleries, peek at artists' work through etsy, and use favorite quotes and lyrics for inspiration.
wow inspiration comes from so many different places, I love to browse throuh magazines, galleries, and blogs. I also love a good sketch for inspiration - and sometimes it is just the picture that inspires me. I always get inspired looking in the gallery here at Mosh Posh!!
I browse galleries and print out things that I like (not just sketches, but things I liked in particular like handmade embellies or cool doodles) and I print them out and put them in a 3-ring binder, dubbed my "style file" =)
I don't know if this is a copout for an answer, but I am actually inspired by the beautiful papers. When I see a gorgeous one I get ideas right away. Currently Webster's Pages lines have my wheels spinning. Time to go paperhunting! My hunger for papers is insatiable! More more MORE!!
I use sarah_n's "style file" --- or her for inspiration! It's always great to get another person's opinion before you tack something down! ;)
Inspiration for me usually comes from MP's gallery, magazines, blogs...or even somewhere else! I may be out running errands and see a color combo I like and then try to recreate it, for example. Inspiration can come from anywhere!!
blog hopping! i love to venture through random blogs, getting so many different kinds fo inspiration. i hae a notebook next to my computer and i write down everything that i dont want to forget.
Inspired by Estee's LO. Now I am not one who does single pic pages, but here it is..

I didn't trace the artisan paper, as this was too pretty to not use.
What a great question! I love cruising different blogs for inspiration, I love reading about how people come up with their ideas!
Books, books, books. I can't read them fast enough. :) I love reading scrapbooking and other art and crafting books. Then there are magazines, newsletters I subscribe to, blogs...I could spend all my time looking at stuff and never get any crafting done if I didn't watch out. :)
love love love the twine - an extra touch to take your layout to a new level of loveliness :)
I find inspiration by reading scrapbooking magazine and books, browseing through blogs and galleries
Wow, beautiful LOs!
Inspiration often comes to me in the form of a song or a line from a book I am reading. From there the pretty papers and photos of my awesome family carry me away!!
